Stuart McAvoy
Stuart is a seasoned supply chain executive who retired from UPS as Global Director of Supply Chain Optimization and Sustainability. In this role, he led global teams in optimizing supply chains, measuring carbon impact, and implementing sustainability initiatives—including the purchase of carbon offsets. Over his UPS career, Stuart held leadership positions in Operations, Industrial Engineering, Sales, Revenue Management, and Customer Solutions.
Post-retirement, he has served as a Strategic Advisor to companies such as Deposco and Cloverly. Stuart is an active contributor to industry advancement through board service, currently with the Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Louisiana, and previously with organizations including the Louisiana Center for Manufacturing Sciences, multiple university supply chain advisory boards, and regional economic development councils. He also served as UPS’s Congressional Awareness liaison to U.S. Senators from Louisiana.
Stuart holds an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, a Bachelor’s in Business, a Master’s in Organizational Development and Behavior, and a Supply Chain & Logistics Certification from Georgia Tech.
